How do I create a calendar? [Back]

When you open the calendar editor, it initially displays a dialog box "Please select a basic design for your calendar". This "basic design" is a template that all of your calendar pages are filled with. All pages (except title page) receive the same design.

The selection is divided into three areas with preview images of the Calendar:- Free customisable calendar, basic design and premium design.

The free customisable calendar can be individually designed in the editor, but will need a bit more time and effort.

The basic design and premium design calendars are just another variation of the free customisable calendar but with more templates and (if available) colours. However, the calendar layout itself can not be edited or changed. There is very fast and easy to create a visually appealing calendar.

Double-clicking on the thumbnail will load the calendar pages in the editor and then dialog box closes.

What is a free creative calendar? [Back]

What is a design calendar? [Back]

These calendar designs are less cusomtisable than the creative calendars. In the "multicolour" designs you can choose from several colour variations.

 

Is there an assistant for calendars? [Back]

For calendar designs there is unfortunately no wizard.

 

How can I change the starting month and year? [Back]

Click on the "Price details and product specifications" (in the bottom right corner software or the icon in the toolbar) to set what year and what month the calendar should start. The calendar year always consists of 12 months, beginning with the selected month.

How do I change the colour of the calendar for design calendars? [Back]

This only works for "MULTICOLOUR" calendars. In the selection area in the "Designs" section, you can set the colour of your calendar design. You can also design variations with a different layout and number of photos and text boxes.

How do I change the colour of the calendar of a creative calendar? [Back]

With a double click in calendar editor on the calendar (the table with the days), the year, or the month name, a window opens with additional calendar settings.

There are colour designs of the backgrounds , lines and texts of the calendar to select a preview of many preset colour schemes. In second place is used to set the font for all text and numbers in the calendar sheet. And in third place is the font size.

Due to the varying font sizes of the text elements are added to the font size as a percentage of the original font size (in increments) so that all letters and numbers are scaled uniformly. Please make sure that long weekday names do not overlap with other weekdays.

In a preview, you can follow the effects of the changes of date.

If the option "For calendars of the same type" is enabled (checked), then the settings for all pages of the calendar (months) will be taken in the calendar editor, who have the same calendar.

The year and month name can be changed in this way. If you use the same settings for calendar, month name and year, then they go well together. But it may be different still when you like the result.

Can I create my own page layouts? [Back]

Only with highly customisable calendars. On the working area of the Calendar Editor to design your calendar pages and insert from the selection area photos. You can even create a page layout with layout, frames and text and save it as a custom page layout. Or you can use a predefined page layout.

How do I show holidays to the calendar? [Back]

In the product features (toolbar "General" or bottom-right grey icon in software), you can set choose if to include holidays and vacations or not by checking or unchecking the box.

Not all calendars are suitable and offer the opportunity to do this.

Please check whether there are any overlaps of the holidays in the adjacent day. If so, then you should reduce the font size, use a more appropriate calendar or not display the holidays.

Please make sure that the setting of the correct state. The holidays are often different.

How to create your own entries in the calendar? [Back]

You can personalise your calendar by adding your own occasions and appointments.

To do this, open the product properties (grey button at the bottom right or in the tool bar in the "General"). In the dialog box "product features", click on the button next to "My entries" which says "Change".

You can now specify a name, a date, and even a photo that will be displayed in the calendar. In addition, you specify whether it is a recurring annual date, such as a birthday.

Warning:
Your personal entries can only be used on suitable calendars; that is, they are only displayed if the space for it is available and it is supported by Design / calendar.

If there is not enough space for the photo, then only the name is displayed. If no space is available, then there will be no entries.

You can then select a different layout that offers enough space or a suitable design.

How do I share my calendar in columns? [Back]

Some free customisable calendars, such as the kitchen and family calendar, there is the possibility to insert columns in the calendar.

In the headings of the columns you can then enter the names of your family members, so that each family member has a separate area for their notes and appointments.

Tip:
If you have an appointment calendar displaying holidays enabled, enter one more column than you actually need, and leave the first column without a heading. Otherwise, you may take the text of the holiday in the first column off the place for entering notes.

How do I choose a different calendar for each month? [Back]

You can choose a different calendar by means of a new page layout. To do so, click the page layout directory at the top left and select the corresponding page layout, dragging it to a page in the working area.

The page layout can now be edited. Use the new calendar and arrange your photos individually on your page.

Tip:
Save your new page layouts. This will save time when producing additional calendars or calendar pages.

How do I change the design? [Back]

In the Editor, under the "page layout" tab, you will find the "Change Basic Design" button. Click "Please select a design" and choose a different basic design.

Warning:
When you "change the basic design", you will lose all the previously carried out steps and start again with an empty calendar.

What is the difference between classic and photographic paper? [Back]

Depending on the selected format, a calendar can be ordered with our classic, digitally printed paper or gloss photographic paper.

Classic calendars are comprised of high-quality digitally printed pages. Each individual page is printed on semi gloss paper and then compiled to make up the calendar.

The photographic calendars consist of individually exposed photographs. The photographic paper is a glossy paper which reproduces your photos brilliantly.

How do I save my calendar? [Back]

Click the "Save As" button in the object toolbar. A dialogue box will open and you specify the save location and file name for your calendar.

Can I edit photos in the calendar? [Back]

Inserted photos can be edited using the photo editor. To do so, with the left mouse button double-click the photo to be edited. The photo show opens and the various editing tools are available.
